Patterns! Thank you for visiting us. Our Brick
and Mortar Shop is located at 233 S. State St. (M 23) near the
center of the picturesque town of Oscoda, Michigan. We are on
the sunrise side of Michigan near beautiful Lake Huron. It is a
great place to visit, so come and see us sometime.
We specialize in lots of wonderful "quilt store
quality" 100% cotton fabrics with a few Moda woolens as
well. Our fabric
lines include Batiks, Brights, Orientals/Asian fabrics,
Civil War, Basics, Up North fabrics, Children's Prints and
Holiday Prints. We carry a diverse line of manufacturers
including Moda,
Bali,
Princess
Mirah, Andover,
Timeless
Treasures, Kaufman,
Hoffman,
and many more!
If you are looking for some online Quilt Clubs, you've come
to the right place! Currently we offer Bag Ladies Club
(make a different purse or tote each month), Oriental
Club (make 6 quilts a year featuring Asian fabric -
many featured in Asian Fabric Magazine), Jo's Little
Women Club (small projects each month using Jo Morton's
Civil War Fabric from Andover), Thimbleberries Club and
the Big Club Quilt (a block of the quarter quilt using
Thimbleberries fabrics and smaller projects each month with a
newsletter from Lynnette), and Moda Club (a
brand new design each month by Time
to Shine Patterns featuring a line of Moda Fabrics). Stop by

Sunshine Quilt Shop will be offering several Block of
the Month clubs this year including the Big Club Quilt
from Thimbleberries, Ro Greggs new Block of the Month from
Northcott, and a special hand dyed fabric Block of the Month for
paper piecers called Rainbow Galaxy. We hand-dye all the fabrics
for this wonderful quilt! Take a look at our Block of the Month
section of the website for more information, pictures of the
quilts, and how to sign up. We will be adding more Block of the
Month selections as time goes by so visit the site often for
updates.
In addition to all our great fabric, kits, books, patterns
and notions, we are the only Michigan dealer for the Hinterberg
Machine Quilting Frames and the Voyager 17 mid-arm quilting
machine. These machines cannot be sold over the Internet, but we
will keep you informed of upcoming shows where we will be
featuring the Hinterberg system. Stop by the shop for a test
drive anytime. It is always set up ready to try if we are not at
shows with it.
We also sell the Juki line of Semi-Professional and Home
Sewing Machines including the 98Q and the 98QE Semi-Pro machines
perfect for the Hinterberg Original Quilting frame. The Juki
Home Sewing Machines HZL-61E (a great little machine - light
weight and perfect for taking to quilt classes and on retreats),
the HZL-70 (the perfect mid-price machine with lots of great
features), and the HZL-80 (the top of the line machine with 50
different built in stitches for all your sewing needs) are
always available at the lowest price allowed by the manufacturer
here at Sunshine Quilt Shop. We sell and service all makes of
Juki machines and every machine you order from us comes with
free lessons here at the shop. These machines are available to

Looking for quick and easy patterns with pizzazz? You'll love
our Time To
Shine Patterns designed by quilters for quilters who need to
get their projects done quickly and easily. You'll find yourself
making the same pattern over and over in different fabric
combinations and enjoying the look each time you do. There are
designs for table runners, children's quilts up to Queen Size
quilts and everything in between. We let the fabric talk to us
when we design a pattern and let it tell us what it wants to be.
This allows us to get pretty imaginative with our designs, yet
we always give you the simplest way we've found to put it all
together. Try one of our patterns and send us a picture via
email and we'll send you another pattern free of charge!
You won't want to miss our newsletter published on the
website every other month. The newsletter tells about new things
happening at the shop and new kits, club offerings, patterns,
notions, books and fabric available on the website. Our classes
will be listed there, so if you are in the area you can call to
sign up. You will also find a list of classes taught by Sherrie
Jaqua that are available to guilds and groups in your area.
Sherrie's new book Asymmetrical Block Quilts will be available
soon and she will be teaching the techniques from the book
throughout the country. Call for more information or email
